Collection: AAV Collection

Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is used to express the HaloTag protein on the surface of cells.

The viruses in this collection are all rh10 capsid serotype and contain the CAG promoter. An IRES (internal ribosome binding site) allows for the separate expression of a cell-fill dTomato fluorophore.

7080A encodes for the live, active HaloTag protein.  7081B encodes for a double-dead, non-binding protein.  Both protein versions connect to the cell membrane via a GPI motif and floppy GGSGG linker.
